Mark Fennell is a portrait painter who works to commission from his home studio in the hill top village of Brill in Buckinghamshire. Mark works predominantly in oils, notable sitters include Isla St Clair, John Hood mayor of Birmingham 2005, Antony Worrall Thompson and singer – songwriter John Otway. His work has been selected for exhibition with The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and The Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall galleries London. He was awarded The Winsor and Newton painting prize for his self portrait – The diagnosis at The Royal Society of British Artists annual exhibition 2020. Mark was elected member of The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 2007 and he is also a member of Oxford Art Society. As well as portraiture, Mark also enjoys the challenge of painting outdoors, working at speed to capture the fleeting effects of light over landscape. Mark is happy to accept commissions.
