Underpinning the imagery in my work is the idea that familiar and prosaic objects, events and places are always potentially fascinating and strange.
I highlight the everyday and common place to evoke something special and extraordinary.
In order to explore this, I make work in a variety of media: paintings in watercolour, drawings, etchings and monoprints.
Since graduating with a 1st Class BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 2009, from Bucks New University, I have exhibited widely locally and in national shows and exhibitions including:
The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour – 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021
Portraits for NHS Heroes 2020
The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition – 2019
The Parallax Art Fair, Chelsea, London – 2017
The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year – 2015 (winner of the prize in original print) & 2016
ING Discerning Eye – 2010
