Encouragement of art in buckinghamshire

Lindsey Graham

I love the serendipity of printmaking processes. For me, the excitement of not knowing what will be revealed as the paper is peeled from the plate never goes away.
Working mainly in Collagraph, Etching and Linocut I am mostly inspired by nature and the human face.
I like to introduce texture and layers into my work using Chine Colle, hand tinting and, or, guilding and multiple use of different printmaking methods.
Exhibiting internationally, I like the discipline of producing mini prints.
I am a founder member of the Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, a member of Buckingham Artists and Leicester Print Workshop.
Now Honorary President of Buckingham Art for All which I helped set up in 2008 as an informal membership society to provide a friendly, supportive environment in which to develop artistic skills and knowledge; I co-coordinate their Printmakers Network and Art Trail, both of which I initiated.
I completed a two year Higher Professional Diploma in Printmaking with Distinction at West Hertfordshire College in 2008 after studying Printmaking at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College.
