Featured Artist: Caroline Selvey
Sculptor: Ceramics and Glass
With an extensive teaching career in Art Caroline bit the bullet and set up a studio to become a full time sculptor modelling clay and creating fused glass pieces. After eight years of studio work the teaching has not been entirely abandoned and she still leads workshops for children and adults, ranging from early years to senior citizens, with groups varying from gifted and talented through to those with special needs. Projects are individual or designed to meet the needs of an organisation. Classes are run for adults at varying levels and Caroline often attends courses herself to learn new skills.
She is an active committee member of the Bucks Arts Society (BAS) and core member of Wycombe Court Artists (WCA) and has exhibited at a number of locations throughout Bucks. At the BAS, she is responsible for the annual Young Artists Award which is open to all secondary schools in the area to encourage and reward budding artists of the future. WCA holds annual summer and Christmas exhibitions and gives active support to charities such as the Air Ambulance and the South Bucks Hospice.
