Encouragement of art in buckinghamshire

The World Reimagined

The World Reimagined is an ambitious art education project aiming to further our understanding of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. It will see trails of large globe sculptures in cities across the UK in the summer of 2022.
Artists working in paint, photography, drawing, mosaic, sculpture and collage are invited to take part. Enter by imagining your own globe, and sending an artist statement, bio and examples of past work.

Selected artists will be awarded £1,500, plus a £150 materials budget. At the end of the campaign, the Globe sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for projects and organisations working to make racial justice a reality, with 10% going to the artist.

The selectors include Lady Ashley Shaw-Scott Adjaye, Artistic Director of The World Reimagined, Zoé Whitley, Director of Chisenhale Gallery, Renée Mussai, Senior Curator at Autograph, Chris Ofili CBE, artist, and Professor Matthew Smith, Director of UCL’s Centre for the Study of British Slavery.

Deadline 21st December 5pm
