With inspiration coming from contemporary architecture, my work involves a fascination with iconic structures. The geometry, the dreams which inspire them and their effect on population.
Emphasis of the style is on movement, expression, energy and freedom. It grew while experimenting with texture and controlling liquid acrylic with air. Masking of linear patterns provides structure and allows a deeper exploration of abstract concepts.
Previous experience includes a commission by Tate Modern in September 2011 to participate in a painting based performance piece. Exhibiting and demonstrating at John Lewis and live drawing for Force India F1 at the British Grand Prix.
Participating in solo and group exhibitions in Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Recent exhibitions include Linacre College, Oxford: Stowe House, Buckinghamshire and Project Space in Milton Keynes. Plus group exhibitions in France and Norway.
She’s a self-taught artist, leaving Occupational therapy for Art in 2008.
