It is with sadness that we report the death of Jeff Clark, one of our members. Following a long period of illness, Jeff passed away, peacefully at home with his daughters by his side.

Jeff was a self-taught artist until he was called up for National Service. While serving with the RAF, he took the opportunity to study art at the local college in Ipswich.

Active in art in and around Buckinghamshire, Jeff exhibited at the Amersham Arts Festival for many years. In addition to the Bucks Art Society, Jeff was a member of the Berkhamsted Arts Society, and co-founder of the Sycamore Art Society in Amersham. After many years, the Sycamore Art Society amalgamated with the Art Society Amersham.

Jeff successfully exhibited for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) at the Mall Galleries in 2011–2013.

He touched a lot of people’s hearts and had amazing friends in lots of circles to do with school, the RAF, work, life in and around Amersham, and of course, his art and jazz music and will be sorely missed.
