Wells Art Contemporary 2020- deaadline 16th April

Created in 2012 by a group of artists in Wells, the Wells Art Contemporary (WAC) awards are an open competition for contemporary visual art with a strong presence in the London, national and international art world.
Open to artists working in all media (painting, drawing, print, sculpture, video and performance), the exhibition will be selected by artists Phil Allen, Neville Gabie and Lisa Wright. The 2020 exhibition will take place in Wells Cathedral from 11 July to 9 August 2020 with over 20,000 expected visitors. A wide range of prizes will be awarded, including cash prizes, exhibition opportunities, mentoring and residencies.
Additionally, the WAC awards give artists the opportunity to create site-specific installations and interventions within the cathedral and its grounds. For more information, please visit wac-installations.artopps.co.uk.
