Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes, the first art competition to celebrate everything Welsh, is coming back for its second iteration. Developed by the Waterfront Gallery in association with the Welsh Government, Wales Contemporary invites artists to submit work inspired by the country’s heritage, art history, traditions, landscape and contemporary culture.
Artists are invited to submit a maximum of three 2D or 3D artworks in any medium excluding photography and film. The submissions will then be judged by renowned artist Basil Beattie RA,
The exhibition will be displayed at the Waterfront Gallery in Milford Haven, South Wales from 13 June – 18 July 2020. It will then tour to the Senedd and Pierhead Building in Cardiff from 5 August – 10 September 2020.
For the chance to win prizes of £11,000, artists can apply through Artopps until 14 April 2020.
